Supervise hotel grounds to ensure an attractive appearance. Maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other ground features by cleaning, replacing, or repairing. Plant new flowers, bulbs, grasses, trees, and shrubs. Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes through watering, weeding, pruning, and other maintenance tasks. Replace and transplant trees, flowers, and shrubs. Maintain trees and shrubs by pruning. Trim lawn edges in areas where the mower cannot reach. Cut and edge lawns, rake leaves, and perform other lawn maintenance tasks. Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems. Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans. Operate dump trucks, tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, materials, and debris. Wash, clean, and refuel all equipment after use.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality and security of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team to achieve common goals. Uphold expectations and standards for quality assurance. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (22.50 Kg) or its equivalent without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the entire work shift. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (for example, for defects). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination. Reach for objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, reaching, and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairways. Climb and descend ladders. Make continuous use of manual dexterity and motor skills, frequently using both hands and fine motor functions. Deal with snow removal and ice maintenance (if applicable). Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
DESIRED APTITUDES
Education:High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Relevant work experience:At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Supervisory experience:No supervisory experience required.
