Game Economy Designer

Ruby Seven Studios is looking for an experienced Game Economy Designer to craft engaging and enriching social casino gaming experiences for players worldwide. You will be responsible for designing and managing the in-game economies, ensuring an optimal balance between player experience and monetization. Role & Responsibilities: Design and develop compelling economy models for our games Create and balance the in-app currencies, progression curves, reward structures, and monetization systems Use data analysis to monitor, evaluate, and optimize the performance of the game economy, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations Design and implement A/B tests to validate new features and changes to the game economy Collaborate with game designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate economic systems into the overall game design and development process Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and player behavior to inform economic design decisions Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all economic systems and features Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the game economy, ensuring a smooth player experience Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in game economy design, preferably in the social casino or mobile gaming industry Strong understanding of game design principles and player psychology Experience with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel) Proven ability to create and balance complex economic systems Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Passion for games and a deep understanding of player motivations Bonus Points: Experience with Unity Experience with live operations and game updates Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies Benefits: Competitive salary Health insurance Paid time off Professional development opportunities
