Join our Christchurch team reporting to the Operations Manager. About the Role This is a full-process, hands-on manual labour role in an industrial setting. You'll work across various stages of the galvanising process, including preparation, coating, and finishing. Key responsibilities include: • Preparing steel for galvanising by cleaning, degreasing, and removing any contaminants. • Applying a durable zinc coating through the hot-dip process to prevent corrosion on steel. • Finishing coated steel products to meet customer specifications. • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures. • Collaborating with team members to achieve production targets and quality standards. • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste. What You'll Need To Succeed • A strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols and procedures. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
