Functional Data Owner – FI

Job Description Job Description Fusion Consulting is looking for an experienced Functional Data Owner – FI to serve as the global focal point for their assigned data objects in scope for migration. In this role, you will collaborate closely with all key stakeholders, including Global Template BDOs, Functional Streams, Data Migration Developers, and Legacy System Experts, to ensure the accurate preparation, validation, and migration of critical financial accounting data. What you will be doing: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement data migration strategies that meet business requirements. * Develop and maintain detailed data object documentation, including data definitions, data flows, and data quality rules. * Work closely with Data Migration Developers to ensure accurate mapping of source systems to target systems. * Validate data migrations against business requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. * Provide subject matter expertise on financial accounting data and its migration to the new system. * Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy. * Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Global Template BDOs, Functional Streams, Data Migration Developers, and Legacy System Experts. What you need to have: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. * 5+ years of experience in financial accounting data management, with a focus on data migration and integration. * Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and regulations. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
