Our mission is to ensure individuals receive fair and accurate assessments of their functional capacity. **The Role:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Functional Assessor to join our growing team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough functional assessments of individuals, evaluating their physical and mental capabilities in relation to their work or benefit claims. You will gather detailed information through consultations, reviews of medical evidence, and objective examinations to produce comprehensive reports. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct face-to-face and remote functional assessments with individuals. * Gather and analyse comprehensive medical and personal information relevant to the assessment. * Perform objective physical and cognitive examinations to assess functional capacity. * Interpret complex medical evidence, including GP records, specialist reports, and diagnostic test results. * Produce clear, concise, and accurate assessment reports using our proprietary IT system. * Liaise with healthcare professionals, clients, and other stakeholders as necessary. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices. * Adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection policies. * Participate in ongoing professional development and training. **Qualifications and Experience:** * A recognised professional healthcare qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse (RGN/RNLD), Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic). * Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC). * A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical setting. * Proven experience in assessing functional capacity, disability, or occupational health is highly desirable. * Excellent clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills. * Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with digital reporting systems. * Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills. * Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively. * A proactive and empathetic approach to client interaction. **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Comprehensive training program, including an intensive induction and ongoing professional development. * Supportive and collaborative working environment. * Opportunities for career progression within the company. * Generous annual leave allowance. * Company pension scheme. * Opportunities to contribute to a service that makes a real difference to people's lives. **How to Apply:** If you are a motivated and experienced healthcare professional looking for a challenging and rewarding career change, we encourage you to apply.
