Fullstack Developer TypeScript – Node.js / Angular, AI Integration (m/f/d)

Who we are

Rockstardevelopers, founded in 2015 in Mannheim, with further offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software development company with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and medium-sized clients.

Short communication channels, honest feedback, no political games. No hierarchy levels between you and the people making decisions.

Your tasks

You will work on client projects for large companies and public clients, embedded in their teams, with full responsibility for your area.

• Fullstack development with TypeScript: Node.js in the backend, Angular in the frontend
• Integrating language models into business applications: RAG, Tool-Calling, agents running in regular operation
• Co-designing architecture, not just implementing
• Generating, reviewing, and refactoring code with Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor
• Code reviews and technical mentoring within the team
• Coordination with Product Owners, UX, and DevOps

Most employees come to one of the offices one to two days a week. However, there is no compulsion. Client appointments usually take place in Frankfurt am Main, for individual days every few weeks.

Where you will land

Depending on the project and your experience:

• Large corporations such as Deutsche Bahn / DB Systel (travel information, customer dialogue, sales)
• Public sector / authorities (e.g., Federal Employment Agency, ITZBund) – regulated environments, accessibility, security by design
• Enterprise and medium-sized clients from various industries

Our clients almost exclusively fill these projects with permanent employees. That's why we are looking for you on a permanent basis.

What you bring

Senior level. Our clients need people who deliver from day one and work independently.

This is what we expect:

• TypeScript on both sides, at least three years in projects
• Node.js in the backend (NestJS or Express), REST and API design, PostgreSQL
• Angular (if you come from React or Vue and feel confident with Angular: still apply, mention it in the questions)
• At least one application where you have integrated a language model: RAG, Tool-Calling, MCP server, or agents
• Tests are part of our definition of done, not rework
• CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), Git, Docker, agile working

Advantageous (not a must):

• Kubernetes/Helm, AWS or Azure
• Kafka or RabbitMQ, WebSockets
• Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), frontend tests (Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
• Accessibility (BITV 2.0 / WCAG AA), DevSecOps / Security by Design
• Experience in railways, authorities, or social insurance

Project language is German

You will work in the client's team, in German, in meetings and in documentation. We expect German at C1 level or higher.

AI tools are mandatory, not a bonus

Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor: You must be able to work productively with these. Not because we want to be hip, but because our clients expect it and that's how we work. Internally, we invest in your AI skills.
