Tasks

You have a desire to not just write code, but really build something from scratch? Then you're exactly right with us.

As Lead Developer, you will take responsibility for the technical future of Placing-Me. You will develop not just features further, but build our platform completely new and have great design freedom.

You will maintain our existing Laravel-Webapp alongside and optimize it punctually. The clear focus lies, however, on the new development: architecture, tech-stack, structure, everything is in your hands.

You will work independently, make decisions, and implement your ideas directly. At the same time, you will build your own development team prospectively, as we plan to hire additional developers.

Your tasks at a glance:

• Concept and build a new system architecture (Backend, Frontend, Adminpanel)
• Selection and definition of the tech-stack
• Development of scalable and maintainable structures
• Independent implementation of central features and core functionalities
• Ensuring performance, code quality, and further development

Parallel to that:

• Maintenance and punctual further development of the existing Laravel-Webapp
• Ensuring ongoing operation

Framework conditions:

• You start as a solo developer with high autonomy, with 1-2 additional developers to follow
• Lots of decision-making freedom in technical and structural matters
• Direct influence on product, technology, and processes
• Perspective building and shaping of your own development team

Plus:

• Experience with AI integration (e.g. APIs, automations, intelligent features)
• Understanding of product development in the B2C and B2B fields

The goal is to build a modern, scalable platform that is technically clean, uses API access for large customers, and at the same time creates real added value for these customers.

This is what you can expect:

• 💰 Salary: 48,000 to 60,000 € annual salary (including 6,000 € variable bonuses)
• ⏰ Working hours: 32 to 40 hours per week possible, with 4-5 day week
• 📆 Working hours: 10-16 hours core working hours, rest freely adjustable
• 🏝️ Vacation: 6 weeks
• 📝 Duration: Unlimited employment contract
• 💻 Work location: up to 100% home office, possibly with 2 days Cologne (office) per month

Qualification

• You have competencies as a programmer, regardless of training, study, or autodidact
• You actively use AI in your daily work
• You already have expertise in programming web applications
• You can independently implement and optimize web applications
• You have experience with PHP or Laravel and ideally with the TALL-Stack (Tailwind, Alpine, Laravel, Livewire)
• MVC and OOP are not foreign to you
• You have no fear of the frontend, backend, or database layer (small infrastructure tasks)
• You are not afraid of testing and documentation
• Git should be used for version control
• Very good German knowledge
• Digital affinity
