Project Description:

To connect processes, goods wagons were equipped with telematics, along the value chain. This includes backend systems for telematic data, dashboards and analytics applications with interfaces.

The applications are hosted in AWS Cloud and use AWS serverless components, as well as a container infrastructure.

Following services shall be provided:

·       Further development and optimization of DB Cargo applications

and contained services, including interfaces and databases

·       Planning and implementation of maintenance requirements, e.g. regular upgrades of libraries or security patches.

·       Analysis and troubleshooting of technical problems in the mentioned applications, including staging, testing, and documentation

·       Adjustments to technical parameters for service components in the AWS environment, e.g. used AWS (serverless) infrastructure, frontends, databases, caches, micro-services

·       Development of architecture concepts within the implemented applications

·       Delivering of pre-works for DB Cargo test-, delivery- and release processes and processing Jira tickets

·       Integration tests in case of changes, all necessary technical tests of partial services of the applications after lifecycle updates.

·       Creating of deliver packages, as well as preparation and execution of deliveries with the IT Operations Team of DB Systel.

·       Participation in regular Scrum meetings of existing development teams

and other members

·       Creating or updating technical documentation in Confluence

Knowledge and Experience Project References Years

M1 Software programming (Full Stack), especially with TypeScript - 3 project references - 3 years

M2 Development and conception of event-driven applications in AWS, especially with serverless components (Lambda, Eventbridge, SQS, Dynamo DB, Firehose, S3, AWS Glue Data Catalog) - 3 project references - 3 years

M3 Use of AWS CDK for the development and deployment of infrastructure-as-Code - 1 project reference

M4 Basic knowledge in DevOps methods and deployments via Gitlab CI/CD - min. 1 reference of an implementation project in a cloud environment (DevOps mode)

Should Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience, Work Experience & Technology - Evaluation

S1 Front-end development with React - work experience and knowledge of the technology or min. 1 project reference - 20%

S2 Experience in developing with container orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS Fargate) - work experience and knowledge of the technology or min. 1 project reference - 20%

S3 Use of various database technologies, especially SQL, Dynamo DB, Redis - work experience and knowledge of the technology or min. 1 project reference - 20%

S4 Professional experience from projects in the transport or logistics sector. min. 1 project reference - 15%

S5 Basic knowledge in software development with Python - work experience and knowledge of the technology or min. 1 project reference - 10%

S6 Methodological competence in agile development projects, especially Scrum, SAFe - work experience and knowledge of the technology or min. 1 project reference - 10%

S7 Basic knowledge in developing ETL processes with Apache Spark/PySpark - work experience and knowledge of the technology or min. 1 project reference - 5%
