Job description
VB Motels Pty Ltd is looking for a Qualified and Experienced Full-time Cook to join our team.
Salary Range - $75,000 - $80,000
Business Location - Warrnambool VIC 3280
Responsibilities
- Inspect ingredients and food to ensure quality.
- Monitor and control oven, grill, and cooking equipment temperatures.
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu requirements.
- Season dishes appropriately during cooking.
- Portion and plate meals with sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
- Store food in temperature-controlled areas.
- Prepare meals for special dietary requirements.
- Assist with menu planning and estimating food needs when required.
- Support and train junior kitchen staff or apprentices.
Skills and Qualifications
- AQF Certificate IlI in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Relevant experience or on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
