Full-time Cook

Ahara Kitchen Pty Ltd T/A Ahara Indian Bistro is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Cook to join our team.

Salary Range – $75,000 to $80,000

Business Location – Victor Harbor, South Australia

Responsibilities

• Inspect ingredients and food to ensure quality.
• Monitor and control oven, grill, and cooking equipment temperatures.
• Prepare and cook meals according to menu requirements.
• Season dishes appropriately during cooking.
• Portion and plate meals with sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
• Store food in temperature-controlled areas.
• Prepare meals for special dietary requirements.
• Assist with menu planning and estimating food needs when required.
• Support and train junior kitchen staff or apprentices.

Skills and Qualifications

• AQF Certificate Il in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Relevant experience or on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
