Full-time Chef

Rha Enterprises Pty Ltd T/A Bua Ji is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Chef to join our team.

Salary Range - $75,000 - $80,000

Business Location - Diamond Creek VIC 3089

Responsibilities

• Develop and design the menu with a focus on fresh, local ingredients.

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

• Oversee kitchen operations including inventory, ordering, and cost control.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.

• Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff

• Staying up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes.

• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dieticians and kitchen and waiting staff

• Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen budgets to control costs effectively.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

• Handle special requests and accommodate dietary restrictions while maintaining taste and quality.

• Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing to optimize ingredient quality and cost.

• Handle customer feedback and resolve any food-related issues promptly and professionally.

Skills and Qualifications

• AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification.

• Prior Experience as a Chef.

• Strong Knowledge of Cooking Methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment

• Ability to work Full Time

• Flexible to work on a rotating roster.
