Full-time Chef

HD Group Australia Pty Ltd T/A Lady Lavender's Tea Room is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Chef to join our team.

Salary Range – $75,000 to $80,000

Business Location – Bunyip VIC 3815

Responsibilities

• Plan and design menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
• Estimate food and labour costs, monitor kitchen budgets, and manage food supply ordering and stock control.
• Oversee the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
• Discuss food preparation methods and workflow with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen, and front-of-house staff.
• Demonstrate and supervise cooking techniques, providing guidance on procedures, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Prepare and cook meals across a variety of cuisines, including catering to dietary and allergy requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and enforce workplace health and safety protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

• AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification.
• Strong Knowledge of Cooking Methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment
• Ability to work full-time in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Flexible to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
