Full-Stack Software Developer, AI Native, in E-Commerce Startup (m/f/d)

Scandinavian home is a strongly growing e-commerce startup from Braunschweig. For 8 years now, we have been developing and selling products in the field of lighting. In our motivated team, you can expect short decision-making processes, a lot of personal responsibility, and the opportunity to actively shape new ideas and projects.

Tasks

As an experienced full-stack software developer, you will primarily be building and further developing our internal software platform.

Our biggest project is a central internal platform through which we want to handle as many of our processes as possible in the long term. This includes, among other things, inventory management, orders, imports, deliveries, as well as financial controlling and forecasting. Part of it already exists as a web app, other areas currently still run via extensive Google Sheets solutions.

It is particularly important to us to consistently use modern development methods. You should therefore be up-to-date with AI-supported software development, current tools, frameworks, and development environments, and use them sensibly to fully exploit their potential.

In addition to the central platform, we are constantly generating new ideas for internal tools, automations, and other software projects. Even when our main project has reached a good stage at some point, there will always be new software projects and topics for us. The position is therefore planned for the long term.

Your tasks:

• Build and further develop our central internal software platform
• Map inventory management, orders, imports, and deliveries within the system
• Integrate financial controlling and forecasting into the platform
• Build and further develop databases and interfaces
• Automate internal processes and workflows
• Implement new internal tools and other software projects
• Consider IT security in our systems
• Support our internal IT, e.g., device management and network setup

Qualification

• Extensive experience in full-stack software development
• Experience with web apps and databases
• Experience with APIs and interfaces
• Ability to independently structure and implement larger projects
• Very independent and structured way of working
• Good understanding of IT security
• Interest in AI-supported software development and new technologies
• Good language skills in German and English
• Own motivation to drive projects forward and to continuously develop yourself
• You should bring high standards – we want to make "very good" even better

Prior knowledge that is not required (but of course a plus):

• E-commerce (Shopify, Amazon Seller Central)
• Logistics / Supply Chain
• Inventory management systems / ERP
• Device management / Network
• macOS Administration
