Your Tasks

While we delight the majority of our customers with the standard Odoo version, we develop custom features for specific requirements. As a Software Engineer, you will transform these requirements into reality and accompany the entire process from technical analysis and development to support. You will work closely with our in-house Business Analysts.

What are you responsible for?

• Develop impactful solutions: In close exchange with our Business Analysts, you will translate the wishes of our customers from various industries into smart, tailor-made Odoo features.

• Close interface communication: You will work hand in hand with our Berlin-based Business Analysts and be in constant exchange with our international developer teams to share best practices and optimally implement complex requirements.

• Ensure sustainable success: You will maintain, optimize, and support the individual solutions you develop to ensure the highest quality in the long term.

• Empower our partners: With your technical expertise and advice, you will support our partners in successfully implementing outstanding Odoo projects.

• Well-founded start: You will complete your onboarding at our headquarters in Belgium (including full coverage of travel and accommodation costs), get to know our internal standards, and directly network with the international dev teams.

What you bring

At Odoo, we value your skills more than your resume.

• Language Skills: Very good German and English skills (C1-C2).

• Background: A completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, a qualified IT specialist training, or a comparable technical qualification, as well as sound practical experience in software development.

• Technical Skills: You have a good command of at least one programming language and experience working with relational databases.

• Solution-oriented mentality: You enjoy analyzing complex requirements, thinking them through logically, and translating them into clean, efficient code.

• Customer orientation: You understand the business logic behind the lines of code and strive to create real added value for end-users.

• Proactivity & willingness to learn: You act independently, quickly learn new frameworks, and are eager to continuously develop yourself.

• Strong communication & team spirit: You communicate actively, clearly, and transparently. This ensures smooth coordination with your in-house colleagues and international teams.

• Willingness to travel for onboarding: Readiness to work for a temporary training phase at our headquarters in Belgium.
