Full-Stack Developer (m/w/d) - TypeScript / Node.js / Headless Commerce

We are looking for an experienced developer who enjoys building modern, well-thought-out web applications and has a passion to shape a new B2B platform from scratch? At Cannaleo, we develop the digital wholesale solution for the German medicinal cannabis market — a B2B Multi-Vendor Marketplace with White-Label Vendor Shops based on a modern Headless Commerce Stack. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will work on architecture, backend logic, and frontends equally and shape the platform technically. You will be part of a remote-organized team in an owner-managed company that already supports over 400 pharmacies digitally.

Aufgaben

• Plattformentwicklung: You develop central modules for our Multi-Vendor Marketplace platform based on a Headless Commerce framework (Medusa JS or comparable) — from product and charge management to price and condition logic, order and quote flows.
• Backend-Logik: You build the technical logic for customer-specific pricing lists, tiered prices, bundles, minimum and maximum quantities, approval flows, and resale between vendors.
• Domänenmodellierung: You model pharmaceutical-specific requirements cleanly — e.g., charges (expiration date, COA, THC/CBD values), FEFO/FIFO logic, and inventory management on charge and packaging levels.
• APIs und Integrationen: You design and develop REST/GraphQL interfaces to wholesale ERPs, pharmacy warehouse systems, and potentially to DMS/archival systems.
• Frontend: You set up admin UIs, vendor backoffice, and storefronts with React/Next.js and work closely with the design team on a well-thought-out, performant UX.
• Multi-Vendor & Single-Sign-On: You shape the technical implementation of the multi-vendor checkout (including multi-vendor shipping) and white-label vendor shops with common SSO across marketplace, vendor shops, and existing Cannaleo system.
• Code-Qualität und Betrieb: You establish clean test and CI/CD standards, ensure performance, security, and maintainability, and operate the platform productively with the team.
• Technische Konzeption: You actively participate in architectural decisions, document interfaces, and make pragmatic trade-offs between clean architecture and deliverability.

Qualifikation

• Fundierte Erfahrung in Node.js und TypeScript in productive web applications.
• Erfahrung mit Headless-Commerce- oder E-Commerce-Frameworks on Node.js/TypeScript basis — e.g., Medusa JS, commercetools, Saleor, Shopware or comparable. Readiness to dive deep into Medusa JS if not already in use.
• Solide Kenntnisse in React und Next.js for setting up admin UIs, vendor backoffice, and storefronts.
• Erfahrung im Design und Aufbau von REST- und/oder GraphQL-APIs as well as integration with external systems (ERP, WaWi, external services).
• Gute Kenntnisse in PostgreSQL (data modeling, indexing, performance) and handling ORM tools.
• Sicherer Umgang mit Git, CI/CD-Pipelines and Linux-based deployment environments.
• Eigenverantwortliche, strukturierte Arbeitsweise in a remote environment, clear communication, and team capability.
• Deutschkenntnisse auf mind. C1-Niveau (negotiation-ready) — our customers, partners, and technical terminology are German-speaking.
• Wohnsitz in Deutschland (the position is remote from Germany).

Nice-to-have:

• Practical experience with Medusa JS in production (modules, workflows, events, customizations).
• Erfahrung mit Multi-Vendor-Marktplätzen and tenantable backoffice solutions.
• Erfahrung in regulated industries (Pharma, Healthcare, Finance) and with requirements like GoBD, audit logging or revision-safe archiving.
• Erfahrung mit the connection of warehousing systems or ERP systems.
• Erfahrung mit automated tests (unit-, integration-, potentially end-to-end-tests) as a fixed part of your working routine.
• Erfahrung with Headless-CMS solutions (e.g. Strapi).
