The Caritas Association Rheine e. V. is seeking a Head (m/f/d) of the "Work, Living and Participation" department, permanent, full-time.

As one of the largest employers in the region with around 50 social institutions and services, Caritas Rheine is committed to supporting people in need. The comprehensive service portfolio of the complex provider extends across the areas of family, child and youth welfare, assistance for endangered individuals and integration assistance, help for people with addiction disorders and mental illnesses, outpatient and inpatient care, as well as migration and integration. In total, around 1,800 full-time employees and approximately 500 volunteers support people with their individual needs.

The Department of Work, Living and Participation of the Caritas Association Rheine e. V. supports people with various support or counseling needs. We empower people with disabilities or mental illnesses to shape their lives independently and to participate actively in social life. With the Caritas-Emstor-Werkstätten, diverse opportunities for vocational participation, qualification, and personal development are created. In the Jacob-Meyersohn-Wohnverbund, we support people with disabilities through outpatient services and in various living arrangements. The specialized departments for Outpatient Services and Income Security, as well as Socio-Psychiatric Services, offer comprehensive support to people in different life situations. This includes, among other things, group living arrangements, independently supported living, psychosocial counseling, legal guardianship, and the social department store. In the Haus St. Antonius in Bevergern, adults with mental illnesses have the opportunity to develop new perspectives within the scope of medical rehabilitation measures.

Tasks

  • Economic, conceptual, and technically strategic management of the department
  • Personnel management, personnel development, and personnel control of the management staff, as well as strategic personnel management for the department
  • Design of the organizational structure and processes within the department
  • Participation in negotiations with payers
  • Regional and supra-regional networking
  • Participation in projects and change processes

Qualifications

  • University degree in a social field, preferably with additional qualification in business administration, or a university degree in business administration with additional qualification in a social field
  • Several years of experience in a management position are desirable
  • Experience in organizational development and process design
  • Expertise in the social economy and knowledge of social legislation and the Federal Participation Act (Bundesteilhabegesetz)
  • Strong business administration competence as well as entrepreneurial thinking and action
  • High commitment, very good communication skills, resilience, and assertiveness
  • Motivating, team-oriented personality with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach
