Hotel Sacher Wien The Hotel Sacher Wien was opened in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, the son of the world-renowned inventor of the "Original Sacher-Torte",. It is the only privately run luxury hotel in Vienna directly opposite the State Opera and has been a symbol of Viennese charm and modern luxury for over 140 years, which is reflected in each of the 149 rooms as well as in our exclusive spa area. Guests are also pampered at the highest level gastronomically. The hotel features two à la carte restaurants, one of which offers a breakfast buffet with a wide range of options.
