Frontend Developer – E-Commerce & Shopify (m/f/d)

Frankfurt am Main | Hybrid: 2–3 Days Office/Week | Full-time | German C1/C2 required

Do you have experience in Frontend Development and want to create modern e-commerce solutions that are actually used? At ABRIO, you will build and optimize high-performance Shopify frontends for sophisticated D2C, B2C, and B2B brands – using React, TypeScript, and plenty of room for your own ideas.

Shopify experience is a plus, but not a must. More important to us are a strong frontend foundation, technical understanding, and the desire to take on responsibility.

WHAT AWAITS YOU

• Project work in the commerce environment: You will work in an interdisciplinary team with developers, designers, and marketing experts on demanding Shopify and platform projects for well-known D2C, B2C, and B2B clients. You will also be in direct contact with our clients and, together with the team, translate their requirements into suitable solutions.

• Frontend Development: You will develop modern, high-performance, and responsive frontends and independently translate functional and technical requirements into clean, scalable solutions.

• Shopify further development & Features: You will further develop existing Shopify stores, implement new functions, and integrate apps and services to specifically improve user experience and shop performance.

• Technical conception & Implementation: You will work with TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks and contribute to technical solution approaches, effort estimations, and the implementation of new features.

• Quality & Performance: You will ensure clean, maintainable code, responsive design, and high frontend performance, and actively contribute to the technical quality of our projects.

• Interfaces & Integrations: You will connect APIs, middleware, and other systems in the e-commerce ecosystem and participate in data migrations and relevant backend topics.

IT'S A MATCH, PROVIDED YOU...

• have completed a university degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering, UX Design, or a comparable field of study.

• have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in frontend development – ideally in an agency, consulting, or e-commerce environment.

• work confidently with TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern React-based frameworks, and have a good understanding of responsive design, performance, and modern frontend architectures.

• have ideally already worked with Shopify or comparable e-commerce platforms – Shopify experience is a plus, but not a must.

• are familiar with Git, CI/CD, testing, and API integrations, and value clean, maintainable code.

• independently structure technical requirements, develop suitable solution paths, and take responsibility for your topics.

• are communicative, enjoy working in a team, and are comfortable interacting directly with clients.

• have very good German and good English skills.
