Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: we want to purposefully utilize the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life - for all people.

We achieved a first major milestone as early as 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most thoroughly researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We work with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and mental disorders. In short: we are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Your Mission With Us

Would you like to help shape the technological foundation of a leading e-commerce company and define the future of online retail with innovative solutions? Then you've come to the right place!
As an E-Commerce Web Developer Shopify (f/m/d), you will take responsibility for the technical infrastructure of our Shopify PLUS shop – from architecture and design to integration into our internal system landscape. You will ensure that our platform functions smoothly, is continuously optimized, and sets new standards in the digital shopping experience. Help us give millions of people a longer and healthier life with our probiotics.

Your Tasks

• You will be responsible for the technical infrastructure (Shopify PLUS) of our e-commerce projects.

• You will take responsibility for the architecture, design (themes), technology, and tools of our Shopify PLUS shop.

• You will be responsible for monitoring, support, steering, and management of our Shopify PLUS shop and will be responsible for the architectural integration into our internal infrastructure.

• Together with our product management team, you will set new benchmarks in e-commerce through the continuous development of the online shop with A/B tests.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed a university degree, for example in computer science or e-commerce.

• You have relevant experience in building common e-commerce platforms like Shopify PLUS and are proficient in configuring Shopify and app settings. Ideally, you are familiar with UI design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe xd, etc.) and A/B testing tools (e.g., Kameleoon, ABlyft, etc.).

• You have a passion for e-commerce and actively drive the digital transformation of the company.

• With your hands-on mentality, you quickly get to grips with new topics and technologies and enjoy solving problems analytically.

• You are a team player but can also work independently on your core tasks.

• You work positively and proactively and can also meet tight deadlines when necessary.

• You have very good German language skills (at least level C1) and ideally good English language skills (at least level B1).
