Freight Operations Supervisor

About the Role The Senior Executive – Ocean Operations (LCL) is responsible for managing end-to-end LCL shipment activities across import and export operations. The role involves planning and executing console shipments, including consolidation and coordination with global agents, co-loaders, and shipping lines. It ensures timely cargo movement while optimizing space utilization and controlling operational costs. The position requires strong expertise in shipping documentation, customs compliance, and international trade regulations. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing effective LCL shipment strategies to meet customer needs and optimize logistics operations. • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of LCL shipments into overall business objectives. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with global agents, co-loaders, and shipping lines to ensure efficient and cost-effective cargo movement. • Analyzing and interpreting data to optimize space utilization, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency. • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, trade, and environmental laws. The ideal candidate will have: • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., logistics, supply chain management, international business). • At least 5 years of experience in freight operations or a related field. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. • Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Familiarity with logistics software and systems (e.g., transportation management systems, warehouse management systems).
