Aufgaben

• Designsystem + Integration: Development of a design system as well as integration of components into the existing application. Points of contact with backend technologies are given, but do not lie in the main focus.
• Kollaboration: Close collaboration with designers, developers on your team, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and ensure high-quality implementations.
• Modernisierung der Codebasis: Refactoring of existing code and implementation according to current best practices to improve performance, security, and maintainability of the application and enable redesign.

Qualifikation

• Erfahrung: You have at least 6+ years of experience in software development and possess a deep understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. You possess extensive experience with at least one additional language (PHP, Ruby, Java, Rust, …)
• Designsysteme: You can develop scalable design systems, actively participate in code development, and maintain existing libraries. Bonus: We would like to build on shadcn, ideally you have experience with shadcn.
• Expertise: You are an expert in JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and React as well as adjacent libraries (e.g. Tanstack, Framer Motion, Zustand, …)
• CSS-Expertise: You bring excellent knowledge of CSS and have extensive experience with utility-first-CSS-frameworks like Tailwind and shadcn.
• Engineering Mindset: You understand the needs of engineers, recognize potential stumbling blocks early on, and work to improve usability and efficiency.
• Kollaboration: You work closely with designers and other stakeholders together to develop innovative solutions and ensure high-quality implementations.
• Frontend-Tools: You are well-versed in modern frontend tools and practices – including Rspack, Turborepo, Babel, and strategies like code-splitting.
• Leidenschaft für DX: You are passionate about Developer Experience (DX) and actively advocate for improving developer speed and efficiency.
• Innovationsfähigkeit: Ability to follow current trends and best practices in the frontend area and proactively bring them into the team.
• Bonus: Notable contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community.
• Sprachkenntnisse: You communicate confidently in German and have good English skills.
