Freelance Product Manager (m/f/d) - Billing & ERP - 3 to 6 months

The Project:

For the further development of our software solution ginisuite, we are seeking freelance support for a time-limited product project. The project is scheduled to start on 01.10.2026. The planned project duration is initially three to six months.

ginisuite is our proprietary ERP/PVS solution for occupational medicine and safety. The project focuses on the functional and product-side further development of selected modules in the areas of contract management, billing, time tracking, and accounting.

Project content includes the analysis of existing business processes, the development of suitable solution concepts, and the translation of business requirements into implementable user stories and tickets. Furthermore, the mandate includes functional support for selected topics through to quality assurance, release, data migration, and implementation.

The collaboration will generally take place remotely within Germany on a freelance basis with self-managed time allocation and clearly agreed project results. If necessary, individual project-related appointments within Germany may be required, likely about once a month and after prior agreement. 

Your Project Contents:

Functional Conception and Product Development

• Analysis of existing processes and system landscapes in the areas of contract management, billing, time tracking, and accounting

• Identification and prioritization of functional optimization potentials based on agreed project goals

• Development of suitable solution approaches and concrete recommendations for the further development of selected ginisuite modules

• Creation of comprehensible functional concepts, user stories, acceptance criteria, and tickets as a basis for technical implementation

• Translation of complex business requirements into clear and implementable product decisions

Implementation & Rollout Support

• Functional support for the development packages agreed upon in the project

• Preparation and execution of functional quality assurance

• Project-related support for release preparations, data migrations, and rollouts

• Documentation of the developed concepts, decisions, and project results

• Structured handover of the agreed results to the responsible contact persons at Arsipa

Project-Related Coordination

• Independent planning and execution of your own project activities within the agreed timeframe

• Project-related coordination with the Lead Product Manager, the CTO, and other relevant contact persons

• Gathering functional requirements from selected subsidiaries

• Functional exchange with the development team as well as internal and external project participants, for example from the data warehouse environment

• Transparent coordination regarding project progress, results, dependencies, and functional decision-making needs

• Contribution of your own methodological approaches and functional recommendations

Your Profile:

• In-depth experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Product Consultant, or in a comparable product-related project function

• Demonstrable project experience in the areas of accounting, ERP, billing, or comparable B2B software solutions

• Experience in analyzing complex business processes and translating them into concrete product requirements

• Proficiency in using user stories, tickets, acceptance criteria, and functional product concepts

• Technical understanding in the areas of data migration, data analysis, and software development

• Very good German and English language skills

• Independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working

Also helpful for the project:

• Experience in SaaS, platform, or ERP-related projects

• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, APIs, integrations, or distributed systems

• Understanding of software architecture, microservices, or container-based system landscapes

• Experience in handling legacy systems and migrations between existing and target systems

• Project experience in multi-entity, private equity, buy-and-build, or comparable growth environments

• Knowledge in the areas of Occupational Health & Safety, occupational medicine, or work safety

• Interim, freelancer, or consulting experience in the product management environment

Project Framework Conditions:

• Freelance collaboration on a project basis

• Project start on 01.10.2026

• Planned project duration of initially three to six months

• Estimated project scope of approx. 30 to 40 hours per week

• Remote within Germany with self-managed time allocation

• Individual project-related appointments within Germany may be required if necessary and after prior agreement

• Remuneration based on an individually agreed hourly or daily rate against invoicing

• Collaboration based on clearly defined project goals and project results, not as a permanent employee
