Freelance Regional Reporter for the Greater Lokeren Area

What challenge will you take on?

• As a regional journalist for HLN, you will hunt for the latest news every day. You will be responsible for full coverage of about five municipalities in the greater area around Lokeren, within a close-knit team of freelancers.

• You have a fluid writing style that immediately draws our readers into the story. You know, 'in the head, in the heart'.

• You work from home but maintain telephone contact with the editorial office in Antwerp and publish daily news items on the municipal pages of HLN.be.

• You will build a network through which news reaches you faster, and which you use to interpret your news.

What do you bring to the table?

• You live in the area around Lokeren and know what's going on

• A B driving license and your own car are a must.

• Experience is not required, but you have the journalistic bug in you. You are a true news hunter, you actively seek out the most compelling stories.

• You are stress-resistant. The drive, deadlines, and results-oriented nature of the editorial office form your ideal habitat.

• You are a team player who can also dive into a story with fellow journalists and photographers.

• Evening and weekend work do not deter you
