Requirements

We are looking for an experienced freelance Sustainability and Circular Economy Project Leader. In this role, you will work at the intersection of sustainability, education, and circular economy. You are responsible for initiating, coordinating, and implementing projects that contribute to the municipality's sustainability goals.

You operate independently, but work intensively with schools, fellow municipalities, and social partners. You know how to connect different interests and translate policy into concrete, executable projects with visible impact.

What will you do?

• Coordinate and guide sustainability projects within education.
• Develop and implement initiatives on the topic of circular economy.
• Set up and maintain collaborations with schools, municipalities, and social partners.
• Translate municipal sustainability policy into concrete programs and actions.
• Monitor progress, results, and collaboration within projects.
• Actively engage and enthuse stakeholders, including students, educational institutions, and policymakers.

Your profile

You are an experienced project leader with demonstrable expertise in sustainability and circular economy, preferably within a municipal or public context. You are proactive, communicatively strong, and able to start projects independently.

You recognize yourself in the following:

• Demonstrated experience with sustainability projects, specifically focused on education.
• Knowledge of and experience with developing and implementing circular economy programs.
• Ability to enthuse students and educational institutions for sustainability.
• Experience working within or for a municipality and familiar with administrative relationships.
• Strong communicative skills and the ability to connect different stakeholders.
• You work independently, but function well within a team.

Elections

• Independent (ZZP'er); contract management takes place via an external party
• Possession of a laptop with Thunderbolt connection.
• Valid VOG, not older than 3 months.

Wishes (evaluation based on CV and interview)

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of Sustainability and Education.
• Experience enthusing young people for sustainability and circular economy.
• Experience setting up and implementing a circular economy program for a municipality.
• Recent work experience in a comparable role.
• Fit within the team and working method of the Municipality of Oisterwijk.
