Freelance Product Manager (m/f/d)

The Project

Naturida GmbH is a growing, internationally active D2C company with multiple brands. We are looking for an experienced Freelance Product Manager to manage our product portfolio, primarily for our beauty brand Bionera, and to be responsible for products across all Naturida brands from ideation to launch and beyond.

• Start: asap
• Duration: 6–12 months, extension possible
• Scope: 20–25 h/week
• Location: Berlin / Schönefeld preferred, remote possible (1–2 on-site appointments per month)

• Be responsible for and prioritize the Bionera product roadmap: Which categories and formats will we launch next?
• Manage new products from trend and market research through concept and business case to launch
• Brief, manage, and negotiate offers with laboratories and contract manufacturers
• Further develop existing products of all Naturida brands based on reviews, sales data, and margins: improve formula, packaging, and claims, reduce COGS without compromising quality
• Coordinate compliance (Safety Assessment, PIF, CPNP, Claims) with our partners
• Liaise with Marketing, Amazon, and Operations: plan launches and track the performance of your products

• At least 3 product launches independently managed as a Product Manager or in a comparable role, ideally in cosmetics, alternatively in supplements or FMCG
• Proficient in handling COGS, margin, and MOQ, verifiable with your own figures
• Experience in the D2C, Amazon, or drugstore environment
• Structured, data-driven approach to work and enjoyment in setting priorities
• Fluent German and English skills
• A plus would be your own network of laboratories and CMOs, experience with EU cosmetics regulation, international product experience, and an interest in AI-powered workflows.

• You build, not just manage. Bionera is a young, growing brand. You will shape the assortment from an early stage and see your products go live, in reviews, ratings, and sales.
• Real Ownership. You are responsible for your products from the initial idea to launch and beyond. You make operational decisions independently and manage COGS targets and supplier budgets autonomously.
• Short paths, quick decisions. You have a direct line to management, no approval loops, and no corporate bureaucracy. Good ideas are implemented here and not talked to death.
• Diversity instead of monotony. You will work on cosmetics and supplements across multiple brands, on new developments as well as on the optimization of existing bestsellers
