Freelance Performance Creative Designer (m/f/d)
Job description
AYLASHES is a successful D2C beauty brand for DIY eyelash extensions. With our products, our customers can create their individual studio look at home in just a few minutes.
For our further development, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Performance Creative Designer who develops visually strong and performance-oriented creatives for our advertisements, landing pages, and our online shop.
You should not only have an excellent sense for aesthetics, typography, and visual language, but also understand how designs work in e-commerce: from an attention-grabbing entry to a clear visual hierarchy, to compelling product staging and a clear call-to-action.
Tasks
- You develop performance-oriented static advertisements and graphics for Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Google, and other digital channels.
- You design different creative angles, hooks, layouts, and variants so that we can specifically test messages and visual approaches.
- You transform product images, UGC material, testimonials, benefits, and ad copy into attention-grabbing and sales-oriented creatives.
- You design visual concepts, page layouts, and individual sections for landing pages, product pages, and our online shop.
- You develop hero sections, product benefit graphics, comparison representations, application instructions, before-and-after visuals, trust elements, and other conversion elements, among others.
- You ensure that AYLASHES' brand, product, application, benefits, and results are presented in a high-quality and understandable manner.
- You adapt creatives for different platforms, placements, and formats – especially 1:1, 4:5, and 9:16, as well as other display and web formats.
- For all formats, you pay attention to safe zones, readability, mobile display, and consistent visual quality.
- You develop new variants and iterations from successful ads, for example with different hooks, images, headlines, colors, layouts, or CTAs.
- You confidently implement existing brand guidelines and further develop our visual communication together with us.
- You work closely with our marketing team, implement feedback quickly and reliably, and contribute your own ideas and recommendations.
Qualification
- You have demonstrable experience in designing performance creatives for Meta, TikTok, Google, or comparable paid media channels.
- You possess a meaningful portfolio with relevant advertisements, landing pages, or e-commerce designs – ideally from the beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or D2C sectors.
- You understand the basic creative strategy behind successful advertisements and know why hook, visual hierarchy, product staging, readability, social proof, and CTA are crucial.
- You have experience with conversion-oriented web and landing page design and can develop appealing layouts that also work on mobile devices.
- You are proficient in relevant design programs, for example Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or comparable tools.
- You have a very good feel for aesthetics, typography, colors, composition, image selection, and modern e-commerce design.
- You can visually prioritize information and quickly present even complex product benefits in an understandable way.
- You know how to combine a high-quality brand image with clear, performance-oriented communication.
- You work independently, structured, and with attention to detail, and reliably meet agreed-upon deadlines.
- You can confidently process German-language ad copy and recognize when a headline or message does not function optimally in the design.
- Experience with A/B tests, creative iterations, and the evaluation of ad performance is a strong plus.
- Experience with simple animations, motion graphics, or AI-supported image editing is also an advantage, but not a requirement.
