Hi, we are Jessy Works – an AI startup rethinking accounting from the ground up.
Tax consulting firms face one of the greatest challenges of our time: extreme staff shortages. We are building the solution: AI-powered accounting on autopilot. Our AI assistants handle financial accounting, routine workflows, and client communication – thereby multiplying the capacity of consulting firms.
For our AI services to run smoothly at consulting firms, they need to be integrated into their existing IT and DATEV landscapes. The setup of the infrastructure is carried out by the administrators of the consulting firms.
This is where you come in: We are looking for a Freelance IT Consultant who will manage these administrators, ensure a successful go-live, and act as a technical point of contact during ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
Your Role & Mission
As an IT Integration Consultant, you are the central technical interface between Jessy Works and the IT administrators of our clients. You do not need to implement the configurations on the servers yourself – the administrators will do that. Your task is to guide them as a technical sparring partner through the system requirements, validate their setups, conduct go-live approval calls, and suggest tailor-made solution paths for technical blockages.
Your Tasks
- Technical Admin Management: You will guide the IT administrators of the consulting firms through the onboarding process and ensure that all infrastructure prerequisites are precisely implemented before go-live.
- Installation & Approval Calls: You will conduct structured coordination calls with the administrators, go through the technical checklist, and approve the go-live.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Sparring on an Equal Footing: When administrators get stuck with configuration (e.g., with terminal server farms, session pinning, load balancers, or SSL/TLS inspection), you will understand the cause, provide targeted insights, and suggest solutions.
- Support in Ongoing Operations: Should configuration conflicts or connection problems arise during ongoing operations, you will directly contact the administrators to resolve the issue quickly and sustainably.
Qualifications
What you bring to the table
- In-depth Know-how in Windows & Server Infrastructures: You are well-versed in RDS / Terminal Servers, Loopback RDP, Group Policies, and network fundamentals (firewall ports, FQDN filtering, SSL/TLS inspection bypass, AV/EDR software, DNS, NTP, AWS IP ranges).
- DATEV Experience: You understand the DATEV ecosystem and how DATEV client environments function on terminal server landscapes.
- Consultant Mindset & Strong Communication Skills: You speak the language of IT administrators, present yourself in a committed and professional manner, and can clearly demand technical requirements.
- Analytical Troubleshooting: You don't need to click in the server OS yourself, but you can quickly narrow down error causes and show administrators solution-oriented paths when they are stuck.
- Work Style: You work independently as a freelancer and have flexible capacity for scheduled onboarding calls and occasional support as needed.
