To strengthen our expert team at our customer from the radio and communication industry, we're looking for an Embedded Firmware Developer (FPGA/SoC) for High Power Products (m/w/x) in a permanent position at K-tronik. Tasks:

• Participation in the implementation of products in the Technology Cluster High Power (Broadcast, Broadband Amplifier, HF-Transmitter, Plasma Generation) - Maintenance & New Development of FPGA-based SoC Embedded Real-Time Systems - Design, Simulation, and Implementation of FPGA Logic (VHDL/Verilog) for specialized hardware function blocks - Development of necessary Embedded Software (e.g. under Linux or Bare-Metal) for the Soft/Hardcore Processors at the SoC - Analysis of requirements and development of solution concepts that you implement together with interdisciplinary teams - Integration and optimization of Hardware/Software Co-Designs - You verify the functionality and efficiency of the components developed by you through continuous simulations and validation on the HW - You work closely with colleagues from hardware and software development together and ensure a smooth integration of FPGA components into the overall system - Your results document carefully for internal and external purposes - The handling of Legacy Code motivates you to analyze and give the code new life through refactoring and optimization - Together with developers, DevOps, testers, and architects, you drive the standardization and reuse of our software/firmware forward and use modern AI tools - State-of-the-Art is important to us - share your knowledge about new trends, technologies, methods, and tools with our team and integrate them into our daily work.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable field of study or training - Several years of experience in the development of FPGA designs using VHDL or Verilog - You are familiar with the design flow of SoC projects and especially with the use of FPGA technologies - Experience in Embedded Software Development in modern, object-oriented C++ in a Linux environment under Git version control - First experiences with C++ unit test frameworks and debugging tools - Touchpoints with tools like Jenkins/Gitlab CI, Docker, and Robot-Framework are a plus - You can be enthusiastic about shaping technology and contributing to the implementation of innovative products - Independent, goal-oriented working style combined with high teamwork and open communication skills - You work independently, structured, and bring an excellent problem-solving ability with you - Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
