Michael Page - Analysis of functional specifications and support for defining technical design specifications - analysis of algorithms and their performance through simulation and computer calculation - maintenance and debugging of VHDL code related to the main transmission standards in the world - selection of suitable devices to realize the project: FPGA, DAC, ADC, external memories; - writing of source code, functional and gate-level simulation, synthesis, and layout pre/post temporal closure; - testing and debugging of the project on boards developed by the hardware team. - development of new features and updating existing projects. The ideal resource for the role of FPGA Designer is in possession of the following characteristics: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, telecommunications) or technical diploma - Excellent analytical, debugging, and implementation skills for firmware in VHDL for Xilinx FPGAs - Knowledge and excellent analysis and development skills for algorithms in the Broadcasting/Telecom field - OFDM modulations - Processing of baseband signals for heterogeneous data flows (Ethernet, ASI, SDI, ETI, EDI, ?) - Synchronization (PLL, GPS, PTP, ?) - Static and adaptive FIR filtering - Adaptive LMS algorithms, adaptive equalization, adaptive echo cancellation - Non-linear adaptive precorrection - Familiarity with the Matlab environment for developing algorithms related to the above-mentioned topics - Familiarity with Xilinx's main tools: ISE, Vivado - Familiarity with concepts of simulation, synthesis, implementation, floorplanning, and timing closure on complex FPGAs - Familiarity with Mentor Graphics' HDL Designer and ModelSim tools - Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams - Ability to read and interpret standards related to the Broadcasting sector - Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English - The following characteristics will be positively evaluated: - Prior knowledge of broadcasting standards (DAB, DVB-T/T2, DVB-S2, ATSC, ISDB-T, ?) - Experience in developing in C/C++ - Knowledge of scripting languages such as bash and tcl - Knowledge and ability to develop relative to Xilinx SoC systems - Knowledge of Linux embedded systems and related issues. The company is a consolidated reality in the design and production of electronic solutions for the Broadcasting sector. Expected indefinite appointment with flexibility in entering and leaving work and possibility of smart working for 1 day a week.
