FP&A, CONTROLLER

ROLE

The FP&A and Controller will be responsible for ensuring the economic-financial control of the Italian branch, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to local management and the parent company, supporting strategic decisions through financial analysis, and implementing effective management control systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting and Financial Analysis

• Preparation of monthly and annual management and directional reporting
• Preparation and submission of consolidated reporting to the parent company according to defined standards and timelines
• Analysis of budget vs. actual and forecast variances, identifying causes and recommending corrective actions
• Support for management in defining KPIs and management dashboards

Management Control

• Optimization of the management control system, structured for the detection, analysis, and control of costs by cost center and business line
• Continuous monitoring of profitability
• Analysis of profitability by geographical area and business unit
• Supervision and control of the accuracy of physical monthly inventory recording processes and valuation;
• Identification of opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost reduction

Budget and Forecast

• Coordination of the annual budgeting process in collaboration with various company functions
• Preparation of periodic forecasts and what-if scenarios to support business decisions
• Analysis of investments and business cases for new projects

Compliance and Processes

• Ensure compliance of administrative and control processes with local regulations and group policies
• Support in internal and external audit activities
• Continuous improvement of finance processes through automation and digitalization

PROFILE

Education

• Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields (Master's degree preferred)
• Master's or specialization in Management Control/Finance is a preferred qualification

Experience

• At least 8-10 years of experience in FP&A, Controlling roles in structured corporate environments
• Previous experience in multinational contexts and/or international groups

Technical Skills

• Excellent knowledge of advanced Excel (pivots, macros, Power Query)
• Knowledge of corporate ERP systems (Dynamics 365)
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI)
• Knowledge of Italian and international accounting principles (IAS/IFRS)
• Solid understanding of cost accounting and profitability analysis

Language Skills

• Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken) - minimum B2/C1 level, for daily interaction with the parent company and international team
• Knowledge of other European languages is a plus
