Foundry Team Leader

Are you an experienced Foundry Team Leader/Supervisor with strong technical knowledge and the ability to get the best out of a production team?

We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who can drive production, maintain quality and safety standards, reduce scrap and keep the operation running efficiently.

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience in a foundry advantageous
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Gravity & High Pressure Die Casting machine setting and basic fault-finding
• Strong technical and process knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Strong communication and people-management skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, quality and compliance standards
• Understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles
• A hands‑on approach and willingness to train and develop your team

You’ll be responsible for:

• Driving production and team performance
• Maintaining quality standards
• Monitoring and reducing scrap
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
• Managing staff utilisation, attendance and performance
• Coordinating with Maintenance, Toolroom, Stores, Planning and Quality
• Ensuring equipment and tooling are available and production plans are achieved
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives
