(Founding) Software Engineer (m/w/d) [€70k-€100k]

Doctario is building a KI-based infrastructure for medical billing – one of the largest and most technically challenging processes in healthcare.

Medical Billing is highly regulated, extremely fragmented, and business-critical. Errors have real financial consequences, the rules are complex, and yet most of the processes are still being run manually. That's where we're starting – with production-ready software, not experiments.

Within a few weeks, we've completed a nearly seven-figure seed financing. The product is live, customers are productive, and demand is growing faster than our engineering capacity.

The market alone in Germany amounts to €341 billion and is on the verge of a structural upheaval. Whoever gets in now will shape architecture, product, and engineering culture during a phase where decisions count for the long term.

Aufgaben

• Productive Features build, ship, and iterate – from implementation to live deployment at customers
• End-to-End Ownership for Features take over(Design, Implementation, Deployment, Monitoring, Further Development)
• Fachlich complex Requirements from the Medical Billing domain translate into robust, maintainable software
• KI/ML Functionality productively integrate with focus on reliability, quality, and real usage (no research setup)
• Existing Systems continuously improve based on customer feedback, production data, and operational requirements
• Pragmatic Technical Decisions make, enabling fast shipping and long-term sustainability
• Zentral Backend- und Plattform-Komponenten further develop, where they directly increase productivity, stability, or scalability
• Engage with Product, ML, and Business, to quickly turn requirements into deliverable features
• Responsibility for productive Systems take over, including error analysis, bug fixing, and operational stability
• Engineering Culture actively shape, focusing on Ownership, Speed, and Code Quality

Qualifikation

• Experience in building and operating productive Software with real users, data, and responsibility
• Numerous Experience with KI/ML-based Applications, e.g., development, integration, or operation of a KI-based application (also as Side Project, Startup, or own product)
• Solid Backend- or Full-Stack Understanding including APIs, Data Models, and System Architecture
• Practical Experience with Python and/or TypeScript
• German on native speaker level (C2 / Native Speaker) (necessary due to professional, regulatory, and customer-facing requirements)
• Munich Location (Hybrid or Onsite, no pure Remote Position)
