Why this position exists

Infinos is one of the largest telemedicine platforms for medical weight loss therapy in Germany. We generate a mid-seven-figure annual revenue, are profitable, and have not taken any investor money to date. Two founders, a team of around 8 people, thousands of patients we treat every month.

We are now preparing our seed round. I am Jan, the technical founder, and to this day the only full-time developer. I am looking for the person who will take over this job from me: be responsible for the stack, build and deploy features, coordinate the team, and later build the engineering team with me.

What you will do

• Be responsible for our stack: a TypeScript monorepo with 11 apps and 32 packages. Next.js, tRPC, Prisma with Postgres, Trigger.dev for background jobs, an Expo app for iOS and Android

• Build features from idea to deploy, usually several per day. A large part of the code is created with AI Coding Tools.

• Review pull requests, including those written by agents.

• Look into production data if something is wrong, and find the cause with AI assistance.

• Deployment and infrastructure: GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, Secrets, Monitoring.

• Further develop our work with agents, for example, agents in CI or automated reviews.

Your first 90 days

• Week 1: first own deploy into production.

• Month 1: you review all PRs and know the monorepo.

• Month 3: you are responsible for the infrastructure, have already shipped several larger features on your own, and tell us what we should build next.

Who we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience with production-ready software, a good portion of which in TypeScript. You have already been responsible for deployments and infrastructure.

• You work daily with AI coding agents and can show what you have built with them. We will ask about this in the first interview.

• You have already operated Docker, CI, Cloud, or Kubernetes. You don't have to be an infra specialist.

• You want to make decisions and stand by them.

• Fluent in German or English.

Helpful, but not necessary: Expo, Vercel AI SDK

What we offer

• €85,000–100,000 fixed salary, depending on experience.

• 1.0–1.5% virtual company shares (VSOP). In the first interview, we will calculate for you what this is worth at different exit scenarios.

• AI tooling without budget limits: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Frontier models.

• Remote in Germany, regular team meetings.

• Direct collaboration with both founders.

• If the team grows, you will become Head of Engineering.

• 30 days of vacation, hardware of your choice.

We will respond within 3-5 days. Then:

1. 30-minute video call with me. I will tell you what we are building, how the numbers look, and why this position exists. You will tell me what you have built recently and what you are looking for. After that, we will both know if it makes sense to continue.

2. 60-minute technical interview. In the first half, you will guide me through a project you have built: architecture, decisions, what you would do differently today. In the second half, I will open our monorepo, show you how we work and deploy, and you will ask questions. No live coding, no algorithm quiz.

3. A paid trial day. You will receive a real ticket from our backlog and a development environment with test data. You will work with your own tools, just as you normally do, and at the end, we will review your PR together. We will pay for the day as a freelance assignment.

4. 30-minute meeting with management about the expectations of both sides: what we need from you in the first few months, what you need from us, and how we want to work together.

5. Written offer – we aim for under two weeks from the first conversation to this point.
