Now we are looking for you as a Founding Engineer - Fullstack (m/f/d) in craftsmanship to take the next steps with us and continue to build nuuEnergy.

Your Tasks

You are a Builder:

You build code every day that makes construction sites more profitable and makes the job easier for craftsmen. And you are the person where technical quality comes together.

Build features end-to-end. DB schema, API route, frontend, from the web cockpit to the mobile apps. You deliver the whole thing, not just one layer. The journey from ticket to production is short with us.
Take over code reviews. A large part of our code is created with Claude Code. You review what goes in, identify the places where a model hallucinates or is sloppy, and ensure that speed does not come at the expense of the codebase.
Make architectural decisions at the API level. How do we cut endpoints, how do we design auth and permissions, how do we structure the data model for multiple hubs. You will largely decide how we build within our stack.
Use AI tools as a lever. Claude Code and Cursor are part of our daily routine. You know when they make you faster and when you have to do it yourself.
Think before you build. If a spec doesn't make technical or economic sense, you say so before implementing it. You understand what our features contribute to (margin per construction site, craftsman adoption) and question what doesn't contribute to it.

How you are integrated: You are part of the Product Team. There is no separate dev department, but a small team that jointly takes responsibility for concept, build, and operation, and works closely together accordingly.

What the role is not: No product management, no conceptual work, no stakeholder management, no leadership responsibility. Prioritization and product decisions lie with the Product Team. You are the execution and quality instance, not the next PM.

Web & API: Next.js 16 (App Router, React 19), TypeScript strict, TanStack React Query, Tailwind + shadcn/ui, PWA via Serwist
Mobile Apps: React Native with Expo (three apps: site manager, measurement technician, installers)
Backend & DB: Supabase (Postgres, Storage, Realtime)
Auth: NextAuth 5 with Supabase as user store
Monitoring: Sentry
Automation: n8n (self-hosted)
Legacy, to be replaced: Airtable
Integrations: HubSpot, Lexware, Slack, Autarc

Your Profile

We are interested in skills, not years on your CV.

TypeScript and React/Next.js built in production, not just in side projects
React Native (Expo) experience or the ability to quickly get up to speed
SQL and Postgres at a level where you design schemas yourself, set indices, and run migrations with ongoing operations
API design experience beyond standard CRUD: authorization models, idempotency, clean error handling
You have seriously worked with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable). Features created with them are in production. And you can explain what you decided yourself in the process.
You can conduct code reviews that make others better, instead of demotivating them
You can show what you have built: GitHub, live product, anything tangible

What is important to us

You take responsibility for code that you commit, even if it is AI-generated. "Claude built it" is never an excuse.
You make technical decisions with arguments, not by gut feeling, and can defend them within the team.
Pragmatism over perfection: the right thing quickly, with tech debt that we consciously carry. You recognize the difference between debt we can live with and debt that will catch up with us.
You talk understandably and on equal footing with craftsmen, sales, and operations.
German B2+ or the willingness to get there quickly. Our users are craftsmen, our UI and our tickets are in German.
