About Us
At VREY, we are building the EnergyOS for apartment buildings.
In Germany, there are over 3.3 million multi-party buildings – and they are the black hole of the energy transition.
At the same time, regulation forces owners to make massive investments: solar power is becoming mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out nationwide within the next 5 years, and heating and mobility are being electrified. The multi-party building is transforming from a concrete goldmine into an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.
What is missing is an integrated system that makes this transformation economically and operationally manageable.
VREY combines certified metering operations with its own software and enables owners for the first time to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants – simply and without becoming an energy supplier themselves (§42b EnWG).
This transforms regulatory compulsion into a profitable and predictable opportunity:
Double-digit returns and value appreciation for owners,
~20% electricity cost savings for tenants, and
digital infrastructure for storage, heat pumps, and flexibility.
We already manage a three-digit number of projects – including the largest portfolio holders and housing cooperatives – in all 16 federal states. This makes us one of the leading providers in the market after a very short time.
As part of our seed financing, we have raised €3.3 million from leading impact and energy VCs (including Rubio Impact Ventures, HTGF, Kopa Ventures). With the fresh capital, we are entering the next growth phase and are strategically expanding our team.

Your Profile
You already have initial experience in Consulting (Tier 1/Tier 2), High-Growth Start-ups (ideally Operations or Process Optimization), or Project Management in the form of internships
You are currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Energy Management, or Business Administration, or you are in your Gap Year
You think entrepreneurially, make sound decisions independently, and set clear priorities with a focus on impact, scalability, and long-term company success
You have a strong interest in start-ups, energy, or real estate
You are deliberately not looking for a 9-to-5 job, but want to take responsibility in a fast-paced, founder-centric environment, build structures, and actively shape growth
You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments where you can reach your full potential
You are located in Berlin (or willing to relocate) – our office is our home base
You speak German and English fluently
Your Tasks
Mission of the Role
You will support our COO Cedric with finance topics, administrative & strategic tasks, and the further development of processes within his Energy Operations Team.
Your Goal: To systematically advance strategic and administrative high-priority projects, make internal processes more scalable, and enable Cedric to make data-driven decisions. In doing so, you will develop a deep understanding of finance, operations, and start-up strategy.
1. Support with Finance, Admin, and Strategy Topics
You will work closely with Cedric and the Energy Operations Team and help ensure smooth project workflows
You will independently take on (finance) sub-projects and ensure structured documentation and implementation
You will help structure decision-making processes and set them up operationally soundly
2. Support with Administrative & Operational Development
You will support Cedric in building scalable structures, standards, and templates for operational projects
You will support the operational and technical implementation of ongoing customer projects – from signing to successful realization
You will analyze existing processes and identify complexity and optimization potential
3. Process Optimization & Internal Structures
You will further develop internal processes and tools (e.g., in Airtable) to increase operational efficiency and scalability
You will identify areas for improvement in existing workflows and implement concrete optimizations, e.g., through automation
You will take on cross-departmental special projects in the areas of finance, tooling, and internal structures
