Founders' Associate (f/m/d)

Mission

Integral was founded in October 2024 by Lukas Zörner and Anil Can Baykal and aims to redefine how accounting, taxes, and payroll work for SMEs in Europe, starting with Germany. The company is backed by General Catalyst, Cherry Ventures, Puzzle Ventures, and entrepreneurs from all over Europe.

The Founders' Office is the unit for topics that the founders themselves set and for which there is no team yet. As a Founders' Associate, you will take over a portion of these and lead them to completion. The outcome will either be a permanent team that continues the topic or the well-founded decision to drop it. You will report to the Head of Founders' Office and work directly with the founders.

Your Tasks

• You will take on projects from the group agenda and lead them to completion: new service lines, pricing architecture, group-wide changes to the operating model

• For new markets, you will calculate market size and entry costs, clarify regulatory requirements, and propose the entry model, organically, through a partnership, or via an acquisition

• The same for adjacent professional services markets around accounting and taxes: analysis, selection of partners, commercial negotiation

• You will build the models and business cases on which the founders make decisions

• You will track what is actually happening compared to the teams' commitments and address delays early and frankly

• Prepare partner and investor discussions, plus topics that fall between teams

What we are NOT looking for

• People who wait for a briefing before starting

• Those who hand over the analysis and leave the implementation to others

• Candidates who are looking for an assistant role. Calendars, minutes, and support work are not part of this position.

Your Profile

You don't have to bring everything. The first three points are the hard requirements.

• 1 to 3 years in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or an operational role in a fast-growing company

• You immerse yourself in unstructured problems and make decisions even when the data is incomplete

• Fluent German (C1+) and English (B2+). Our clients and partners are German-speaking.

• You build a financial model that someone else can read and review

• You work routinely with AI tools

• Experience in accounting, taxes, payroll, or another regulated market is a clear plus - but not a must

• You work fully on-site in our Berlin office
