GSL Education are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Foundation Stage 1 Teacher (FS1) to join a supportive and welcoming early years setting in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about delivering engaging, play-based learning and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for young children.

In this role of FS1 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate lessons that support early development and curiosity.
• Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support holistic development.
• Encourage children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth through supportive interactions.
• Uphold high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and early years practice.

What You’ll Bring as an FS1 Teacher:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), EYTS, or an equivalent early years teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working within an Early Years or Foundation Stage setting.
• A warm, patient approach and a passion for supporting young children’s first steps in education.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
