Job description
About nAIxt Consulting / ILLUIN Technology
nAIxt Consulting is the consulting practice of ILLUIN Technology, a company founded in 2017 at the heart of CentraleSupélec, one of Europe's leading AI hubs. Specializing in applied AI in businesses (large corporations, public accounts, mid-sized companies, SMEs), ILLUIN is a pioneer in French-language NLP and conducts its own research in generative AI. Our consultants work immersed within the client's organization to deploy high-impact AI solutions (conversational assistants, document automation, data analysis), with an agnostic view of AI technologies (market solutions, Illuin products, tailor-made approaches).
The Role
We are looking for several Forward Deployed Strategists (FDS) to join our team. In this role, you will drive the integration strategy of AI solutions (from ad-hoc task automation to the Agentic vision), AI transformation adoption, and orchestration, in collaboration with Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs). Immersed within the client's organization, you will bridge the gap between decision-makers, business units, and delivery teams to transform AI potential into real, measurable uses.
You will lead the AI transformation for a specific business scope. You will build the adoption strategy, orchestrate stakeholders (management, business units, IT, Data), and ensure measurable impact, from use case scoping to embedding new uses.
Your Missions
Strategy & Scoping
Build and maintain the AI roadmap for a business scope
Qualify and prioritize the portfolio of use cases based on value, feasibility, and risks
Design target processes integrating AI and agents, and define human-AI interactions
Build business cases and Go/No Go criteria with decision-makers
Identify security, governance, and data quality prerequisites from the scoping phase
Inform trade-offs between existing products and custom developments (Make vs. Buy)
Transformation Orchestration
Engage in peer-level discussions with the Delivery Manager on progress, risks, and trade-offs between priorities/deadlines/scope
Be capable of end-to-end project management for low-volume missions that do not justify a dedicated Delivery Manager
Align management, business units, IT, and Data around shared objectives and a common plan
Sequence deployments so that each use case reinforces the next
Plan deployments, anticipate dependencies, and remove blockers
Manage the scaling of pilots with ILLUIN delivery teams
Prepare and lead steering committees (Coproj, Copil)
Adoption & Change Management
Design the adoption strategy (training, communication, business relays, rituals)
Build skill development plans
Establish and facilitate AI ambassador networks within the client organization
Identify resistance and implement appropriate responses
Impact & Measurement
Define and track adoption and impact KPIs (usage rate, time saved, quality, operational savings)
Measure results and present them to decision-makers in steering committees
Implement user feedback and continuous improvement mechanisms
Adjust the deployment trajectory based on field feedback
Firm Life
Mentor and develop junior consultants on assignments
Contribute to business development, proposals, and presentations
Leverage lessons learned and enrich the firm's methodologies and playbooks
Profile Sought: Above all, you are passionate about AI and want to contribute to making it truly useful for businesses
Education
Master's degree from an engineering school, business school, or university
Specialization or further training in Data/AI and/or change management highly appreciated
Experience
3 to 7 years of experience, with at least 2 years on AI, data, or digital transformation projects
You have supported at least 2 AI deployment projects end-to-end, from scoping to adoption
You have previously prepared and led Project Management and steering committee meetings with decision-makers
Experience in large enterprise or consulting firm contexts is highly desirable
Fluent English is a plus
Tools & Technical Skills
Sufficient AI fundamentals (LLM, RAG, agents) to assess feasibility and communicate with Data Scientists
Construction of quantified business cases and prioritization matrices
Building and presenting dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Good understanding of data, governance, security, and AI ethics issues
General understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Basic project management knowledge (planning, milestones, risk management, Agile methods) sufficient to communicate with a Delivery Manager and, if necessary, manage a smaller project alone
Key Skills
Ability to engage stakeholders with sometimes divergent interests
Data storytelling: you present quantified results convincingly to decision-makers
Ability to navigate ambiguity in large organizations
Active AI monitoring: you integrate market developments into your recommendations
Results-oriented: you seek impact before producing deliverables
