Food Technologist

Job description

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience in product development, particularly in spice blends and batch packs for the food industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop and refine spice blends and batch packs for various food products.
Create ingredient listings in compliance with industry standards.
Conduct product costing and ensure alignment with labeling legislation.
Perform sensory evaluations to assess product quality.
Assist in investigating customer complaints and implementing solutions.
Draft product specifications for new developments.

Requirements:

N.D. or B.Tech. in Food Technology.
Experience in product development, specifically in spice formulations.
Strong knowledge of labeling legislation and ingredient regulations.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Technical proficiency in food science and product formulation.
