Food Production Assistants (Day Shift - Forklift Licence Required)

Location: Altona VIC
Shift: Day Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:15 PM

We are seeking reliable and experienced Food Production Assistants with forklift experience to join a well-established food manufacturing facility in Altona. This site plays a key role in producing a wide range of products including flours, bakery mixes, starches, and oils for both domestic and export markets.

This role is suited to candidates who enjoy hands-on production work, can communicate clearly with their team, and are committed to working safely and efficiently.

• Day Shift only - consistent hours with no rotating rosters.

• Operate machinery to feed raw materials into the production process.
• Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting products up to 20kg.
• Stack, wrap, and move finished goods onto pallets.
• Assist with pre-mix line operations and other production duties as required.
• Operate forklifts to transport pallets and materials (approx. 20% of role).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to maintain safe and productive workflow.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.

• Current LF forklift licence with at least 2 years of practical experience.
• Proven ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting safely.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality standards, and team collaboration.
• Good communication skills and basic numeric ability.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team environment.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks including police clearance, medical assessment, and drug & alcohol testing.
