Flight Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: Marathon Petroleum Company is looking for a Flight Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Technician to travel on company aircraft as needed, and to perform scheduled, unscheduled and line maintenance on company aircraft, and keep Marathon aircraft operating at the high standard of safety and efficiency that we expect from our equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations on company aircraft. • Conduct inspections and repairs on aircraft systems including engines, propellers, and landing gear. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on company aircraft. • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure that all aircraft are properly maintained and ready for use. • Travel as needed to perform maintenance tasks at various locations. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. • Follow established safety procedures and protocols when performing maintenance tasks. • Participate in training programs to stay current on new technologies and techniques. • Work independently with minimal supervision, but also be able to collaborate effectively with others. • Be willing to travel as needed for company business. • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. • Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination. • Must be willing to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Must be able to travel as needed for company business.
