Fitter - Welder

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Fitter - Welder to join our Bin Maintenance team in Christchurch. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various welding and fitting tasks to support our manufacturing operations.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components
Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal components and structures
Fit and fabricate metal parts and assemblies using cutting, shaping, and forming techniques
Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Maintain and operate welding equipment, tools, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production schedules and deadlines
