Tasks

Job Description

We are looking for a firmware developer*in in full-time, who takes responsibility for the embedded systems of our medical products. You develop central firmware components and ensure that our systems are safe, robust, and efficient in series production.

In close cooperation with the teams from hardware and software, you develop and optimize firmware for use in a regulated MedTech environment. With your work, you significantly contribute to ensuring that our products function reliably and securely in everyday use, deliver high signal quality, and operate stably in operation. This enables people who rely on our products daily to have a reliable and secure usage.

Your Tasks

- You take responsibility for central firmware components and develop high-performance and series-ready code in C

- You develop robust firmware along the entire chain from hardware-near drivers to application-near logic and pay attention to safety, performance, and stability

- You develop secure and reliable solutions for device communication and ensure stable connections and interfaces

- You build automated tests and suitable tools to ensure the quality of our firmware across all levels

- You analyze and optimize the interaction between hardware and firmware, improve performance and energy consumption, work safely with data sheets, circuit diagrams, and PCBs, and set up common measurement instruments like oscilloscopes

Qualification

What you bring

- Practical experience in developing embedded firmware in C for systems with high demands on safety, performance, and reliability (e.g. drivers, error handling, timing)

- Fundamentally understanding the basics of integrated systems (e.g. interrupts, energy optimization, signal acquisition, filtering)

- Experience with reliable device communication (e.g. data streaming, stability), ideally with a focus on cybersecurity

- Experience with structured development methods including automated tests, continuous integration, runtime analysis, and hardware-near debugging

Optional

- Experience with embedded AI / On-Device Inference / Edge-Level Data Processing

- Experience with modern embedded frameworks

- Experience with wearables or systems that capture and process body signals

- Experience in a regulated MedTech environment
