Tasks:

• Our team is seeking an engaged firewall administrator who will manage our global R&S firewall infrastructure - administration, configuration, and documentation of the firewall infrastructure - planning and coordination of the rollout of firewall infrastructures. (HW, SW, operating systems, applications) - Compliance with SLAs (response time and processing time) within the scope of ticket handling - creation of changes in the context of services - introduction and documentation of new techniques for optimizing services. Maintenance of a knowledge base.

Qualifications:

• Completed studies in computer science or equivalent qualification/training - Comprehensive knowledge in administering Check Point firewalls - In-depth network knowledge (Internet and routing protocols, IPv4, IPv6). Understanding of IT security concepts - ITIL knowledge and experience with ITSM tools. Knowledge of Netbox (IPAM) and Git - Basic knowledge of Linux - Desirable are knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, and Python - Experience in service level management as well as incident and problem management - Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence - CI/CD basic knowledge: Knowledge of Git and GitLab CI for automation - Strong communication skills for collaboration in interdisciplinary teams - Analytical thinking: Outstanding problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to structure complex database and storage problems
