Fire Services Designer / Drafter - REVIT / CAD

The Company

Work with a top-tier fire services company dedicated to ensuring safety and security for thier clients in diverse environments, by specializing in the creation and implementation of cutting-edge fire protection solutions for commercial, residential, and industrial spaces.

Due to a high volume of projects, they are seeking an experienced Fire Services Designer / Drafter to join their team in Brisbane.

The Role

As a Fire Services Designer, you will be instrumental in designing and planning fire protection systems for a wide array of projects. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients, your role is to develop customized fire protection solutions that align with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to grasp client requirements and project specifications.
• Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems in CAD and REVIT.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather pertinent information for designing fire safety solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address concerns and provide technical expertise.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing fire protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects, ideally with a contractor.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and, particularly, Revit for design, and Hyena for hydraulic calculations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
