Fire Alarm Technician

Are you an experienced Electronics Technician looking for a new challenge? We seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Christchurch, NZ. About the Role: As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm and sprinkler systems across various commercial and residential properties. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that their fire safety systems are functioning efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm and sprinkler systems • Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems to identify any potential issues or defects • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for fire safety systems • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard. Requirements: • 3+ years' experience as an Electronics Technician or Fire Alarm Technician • Strong understanding of fire alarm and sprinkler system principles and regulations • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in challenging environments • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to lift up to 25kg and work in a fast-paced environment • Current NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent • Current NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Sprinkler Systems or equivalent • Current First Aid Certificate • Current Working at Heights Certificate • Current Confined Spaces Certificate • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
