Finishing Manager

Responsible for managing, inspecting, and coordinating all balcony finishing works to ensure high-quality, compliant, and on-programme delivery across a large residential scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all balcony finishes including decking, balustrades, soffits, fascia, trims, thresholds, drainage details, and waterproofing interfaces.
• Conduct inspections, produce snag lists, and drive subcontractors to close out works quickly and to spec.
• Coordinate daily activities of balcony-related trades and ensure materials and access are in place.
• Ensure all balcony works comply with drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and NHBC/Building Control requirements.
• Maintain strict health & safety standards, especially for working at height.
• Monitor progress, report daily updates, and highlight risks to programme.

Experience & Skills

• Strong background in external finishing / balcony systems on residential projects.
• Excellent eye for detail and quality control.
• Ability to read drawings and manage multiple trades.
• Competent with snagging software (Fieldview, SnagR, etc.).
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid (desirable).
