Financial Controller

Your Tasks

As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in a wide range of tasks, from accounting to implementing monthly dashboards that aim to optimize the financial performance of the company. In close cooperation with the current team (7 people in France + CEO EDL GmbH) and the external accounting firm, you will contribute to the preparation and monitoring of commercial and consolidated accounts in Germany.

• Acquisition of a solid understanding of the most important business drivers.
• You will work together with the team as an interface to accounting and auditors during the audit of annual accounts.
• Participation in the preparation and monitoring of commercial, international, and consolidated accounts. This includes supporting the accounting process, supplier management, or other tasks that ensure that accounting accurately reflects the economic reality of the company.
• Monitoring of product lines and revenue development compared to budget.
• Implementation of tools and processes to improve supplier management.
• Monitoring and optimization of cash flows, particularly through the improvement of customer invoicing processes and accounts receivable management.
• Participation in budget preparation and monitoring. Analysis of deviations between forecasts and actual values, as well as derivation of correction and preventive measures.
• Participation in the preparation of bank reports and monitoring of debt repayment periods.
• Collaboration with operational teams to provide them with the necessary tools to control their activities with the required level of detail. Development of effective dashboards and management tools.

Your Profile

· You have a completed degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable qualification with a focus on controlling/finance.

· You have several years of experience in financial controlling in a SME environment or in auditing.

· You bring very good knowledge of accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis.

· You work safely with MS Excel and common ERP systems. Knowledge of Cegid XRP Flex is an advantage.

· You have an analytical, structured, and self-responsible working style.

· You have a pragmatic and agile, as well as proactive and solution-oriented working style.

· You are a strong communicator and work well in a team.

· You have very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking. Good French language skills are an advantage.
