Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join a prominent global software provider known for delivering advanced technology and data-driven solutions to professionals across a wide range of industries. The organization has a strong legacy and is placing increasing emphasis on areas such as ESG and digital innovation.

Role Overview
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and providing actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in IFRS, CAPEX, and innovation box accounting. A proven track record in process optimization and automation is essential for success in this role. This position is part of a fast-paced, digital-focused environment where strategic thinking and analytical skills are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month end and year end accounting activities such as account reconciliations provision and accrual journal entries.
• Managing, performing, and monitoring the key accounting processes of the organization.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting according to company policies.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliations, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Provide assistance and guidance to the corporate accounting team as required.
• Supporting on the software development capitalization and depreciation process and the report to stakeholders on the CAPEX Status.
• Timely reporting on the financial performance of the company, both for management purposes as well as for group reporting purposes.
• Contribute to the successful completion of internal control and external audit by providing thorough documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Key user of PBCS, SAP and Tagetik.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting: Certified Auditor preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in an Accounting/Controlling role, preferably in an international environment.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end and year-end close process
• Experience with technology development and service management is a plus.
• Strong analytic skills.
• Proven ability to optimise processes and implement automation initiatives.
• Excel "power user", ideally with hands-on experience with Oracle PBCS/Hyperion, Tagetik and SAP.
• You are proactive: Constantly seeks ways to improve processes and foresee potential issues, autonomous: Resourceful and capable of troubleshooting independently and, accountable: Takes end-to-end responsibility for work, enabling colleagues and teams to do the same.
