Our teams work remotely and cross-location, which enables flexibility, collaboration, and creativity at the highest level. The leadership of the Operations and Financial Management department is located in Saarbrücken and is responsible for the entire group. 

To support our central department, we are looking for a dedicated Financial Controller with a focus on process optimization. In this role, you will combine classic controlling with process responsibility and integrate innovative technologies like artificial intelligence.

The work takes place remotely in home office, with regular physical department and company meetings for internal exchange.

Your Tasks

• Focus lies on active support and participation in optimization projects primarily in the finance area, from analyzing existing processes to implementing new, more efficient workflows.
• Identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI application cases as well as other technological solutions to increase efficiency, quality, and transparency in financial processes. 
• Taking over general tasks for the controlling and tax & finance team, including data analysis, reporting, and participation in planning and budgeting processes.
• Central interface between Business Engineering, Controlling, Tax & Finance, and other departments.
• Creation and maintenance of process documentation, training materials, and best-practice guidelines for the sustainable anchoring of new processes and solutions.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, computer science or a comparable field.
• Multiple years of professional experience in controlling as well as practical experience in dealing with ERP systems.
• Good knowledge of accounting and ideally fundamental knowledge of tax-related issues.
• Experience in analyzing, optimizing, and developing processes as well as implementing best practices.
• High affinity to digital technologies, particularly AI/Machine Learning, and the willingness to get familiar with new areas.
• Programming skills and a secure handling of Excel or Google Sheets are advantageous.
• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented working style are expected.
• Very good communication skills in German and English.
